CAREFULLY DESIGNED A nurse practitioner [NP] pays a visit to a homebound patient who was recently released from the hospital. Upon arrival, the NP securely logs in to the hospital's network using the C5m Tablet's multi-factor authentication via her fingerprint and smart card. During the visit, the NP consults with the patient, writes notes, and takes vital measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, lung capacity, temperature, weight and blood oxygen level. The data is quickly uploaded through the C5m·s 4G XLTE wireless connection and shared in real time with the patient's doctor, who determines that the patient is recovering well with current medication dosage. Before leaving the NP schedules another home visit for the following week and has the patient sign a digital form on the C5m to confirm the appointment. On the scene of a call, an EMT undocks the C5m Tablet, slings it over his shoulder using the ClipCarry strap, and grabs his medical bag to attend to the patient. After stabilizing the patient he begins to take vital signs and inputs the data in the system, which updates the ER staff in real time via the C5m·s 4G XLTE connection. At the hospital, doctors and nurses use the data to assess the situation and begin preparing equipment, supplies and medication before the patient's arrival. Onboard with the patient, the EMT docks the C5m in to the Mobile Dock enabling him to keep both hands free to stabilize the patient as the ambulance drives to the ER. A technician begins her day in the test lab. Walking over to her station she pulls a C5m Tablet from the ReadyDock ® and uses her smart card in conjunction with her fingerprint to log into the database. Large data files sync quickly via the 802.11 ac wireless connection and she pours over the latest research results concluding that more data is needed. A new batch of the product she's testing will be required so she scans each component of the proprietary medicine with the integrated barcode scanner, keeping lab stocks updated and verifying the required mix is attained for proper synthesis. Once her batch is complete she notes the location of the sample, digitally signs the project file on her C5m and heads on to her next round of tests.
